Sainik Rest House
Sainik Rest House is located centrally in Sector: 21-D (Opposite Aroma Hotel), Chandigarh and provides accommodation to defence personnel. The accommodation may be given to civilian also, if not booked by defence personnel. The details of accommodation procedure for booking the accommodation are given below:-

(d) Facilities provided :–
 
(i) Meals are available on demand through contractor at reasonable prices.  
(ii) Geyser facilities are provided in all AC Rooms.
(iii) Zila Sainik Welfare Office is located on the ground floor of the building.
(iv) TVs/LED have been installed in all AC/ Non AC Rooms .
(v) Generator facility for providing power back up.

 

 
(E) General Rules and Procedure for Booking of Accommodation. 
 
(i)

The use of Rest Houses is restricted to the ex-Servicemen and serving personnel of the Defence forces and their families. Civil Officials of UT/Centre/State Govt and other Civilians may be provided accommodation, if it is available.

 
(ii)

In order to make the Rest Houses economically viable and to make full use of the accommodation provided therein, the accommodation may be given to non-defence personnel, if lying vacant.

 
(iii)

Patients suffering from infectious diseases shall not be allowed to stay in the Rest House.

 
(iv)

Secretary Zila Sainik Board shall have the discretion not to allow any person, whether serving or ex-servicemen or civilian from using the Rest House in cases of undesirable acts viz being in an inebriated state, unruly and rough behavior or other strong reasons of this nature.

 
(v)

Maximum period of stay in the double bed room is 3 days.  4 bedded rooms can be alloted for 7 days which may be ordinarily extended to 10 days. In exceptional cases, the period of stay can be extended in the individual cases with permission of the Secretary, Zila Sainik Board up to 15 days.

 
(vi)

Advance booking of Guest Rooms and halls  can be done by paying 100% of rent at the time of advance booking.  Advance booking is done after getting confirmation on telephone No 9646879861 between 10 AM to 5 PM on all working days,  Once the advance is deposited and intimated by the visitor on above telephone, the booking will then be confirmed.

 
(vii)

100% amount paid for advance booking will be refunded if the booking is cancelled within 3 days in advance. 50% amount will be refunded if the booking is cancelled 2 days in advance. No refund will be paid thereafter.

 
(viii) For outstation bookings the advance amount may be deposited in the following bank account:-
